Building Culture did not appear overnight. Our co-founder Laszlo Bihary started in IT in 1996 — agencies, SEO, creative direction, and later wallet-native products — before converging on a single question: what if communities could fund and shape the places they care about, with receipts?

“Building Culture is what happens when you stop optimizing for launches and start optimizing for places people actually live in.”

That line is the spirit of the essay From Web2 Builder to Building Culture, published on Paragraph. We keep a curated chronicle in the app — excerpts and timeline — so newcomers meet the human arc before the ecosystem map.
